Cheryl is out of intensive care. Phew!

After a worrying few days, Cheryl Cole has now been allowed to leave the intensive care unit where she was staying at a London hospital and has moved to a private clinic. The Girls Aloud star was moved to intensive care after she failed to respond well to treatment for malaria, so this new move is definitely a positive sign that she's on the mend.

The poorly star's PR company Tweeted the news a few minutes ago, saying: "Cheryl Cole today came out of intensive care and has left UCLH. She has now been transferred to a private clinic where she will remain for her recovery."

We are doing the phew hand and everything over here. Get well soon, Cheryl!

Thanks Domestic! you are right about the same doctors except sometimes private hospitals have far fewer doctors and just call the consultants in for everything. Whereas the NHS utilises junior doctors. Basically in the middle of the night you could wait aaaaages for a doctor in private care whereas in the NHS you would have someone there in 5 mins. (ofcourse this is not the case everywhere) but I wouldn't take a chance

If someone gets Private treatment, they are paying for it and they still pay for their NHS treatment through their taxes. What is the problem if she is out of danger? She is paying for both.

private hospitals won't touch anyone who is acutely ill, thats why they appear to have better outcomes...and i have nursed many, many people who have had private treatment and its been cocked up so off they go in a blue light ambulance to us! DD i'm from the mighty wirral too have escaped though!

@Khubasa, well said! It's the same surgeons, doctors etc that would treat you privately as it would be if you went the NHS route, it's just in different surroundings, with longer appointment times and shorter waiting lists.
