Why is it that everyone in pop has to pretend to love Susan Boyle and claim that they’d love to do a duet with her? Every week it’s someone new. Snoop Dogg, Elaine Page, 50 Cent, John Barrowman and about a billion others have expressed a desire to sing with the big-voiced Scottish lady in the past and now it’s Lady GaGa.
“I love Susan Boyle. She is my woman of the year,” said GaGa “She has achieved more in this year than most artists will in a lifetime.”
That’s true. But then again those artists who you mention may have slogged away for years in clubs and bars. Su-Bo just went on a TV programme. Anyhoo, Susan responded positively to GaGa’s suggestion: “I'd love to do a duet with her, complete with telephone hat, too!”
That’s getting into the spirit of things! Next to Su-Bo’s actual dementedness GaGa’s showbiz “wackiness” would probably seem quite tame actually.
