Remember last week when the Katy Perry Sesame Street episode was cancelled after parents deemed her revealing outfit unsuitable for children? Well, Katy has apparently seen fit to strike back at the prudes by going on Saturday Night Live wearing an artfully-customised Elmo t-shirt.
Yep, the California Gurls singer made the most of her notorious assets over the weekend by squeezing them into a novelty children’s t-shirt. In the words of one of the show’s hosts, Amy Poehler: “It looks like today’s show is brought to you by the number 38 and the letter DD”. And just in case anyone missed the point she spent a good few minutes bouncing around too. We can’t decide whether using a kids’ television show to generate controversy is immoral or genius.
