Yes, that booze-loving, slightly racist, Australian Mel Gibson has been confirmed to appear in The Hangover 2. After muchos speculation over the last few weeks as to whether Mel Gibson had been offered, would accept an offer, would be attending a screen-test etc for The Hangover 2... MTV News are now quoting two separate insider sources who claim that the 54-year-old's cameo in the sequel movie has finally been confirmed.
The irony of a man with infamous drink issues appearing in a comedy movie about hangovers, of course, isn't lost on us. And let's face it, there's bound to be a few references thrown in to make light of Mel's bad times. "Sugar tits" aside, it's been reported that the character he'll play is a tattoo artist. "Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot," says the New York Posts' source, "where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks."
Other plot details are firmly under wraps, though it's believed that in the follow-up film the four friends will be travelling to Thailand. And yes, Bradley Cooper fans, that means he'll be appearing in The Hangover 2 as well. Shirt-off too, most likely, if it's set in sunnier climes. Magic... We can't wait!
