You might be right in thinking that America's Next Top Model rejects bear something of a grudge towards host Tyra Banks when she gives them the boot, alongside those patronising bits of advice they take - still ringing in their ears - off to an ultimately-doomed modelling career. That's nothing in comparison to the guests who appear on her chatshow though!
A bit more Jerry Spinger than Oprah Winfrey, The Tyra Show has featured some weird, wonderful and utterly bonkers guests over the years. None more so than a 15-year-old self-confessed sex addict called Jewel Ciera McClendon, who appeared on the show in November 2009.
Jewel was flown to New York for the show, where she was roundly ear-bashed by Tyra Banks - Jeremy Kyle-stylee - about her knicker-dropping antics, before being lumped back on a plane to Georgia to face her disgruntled friends and family who were, presumably, none to happy to have details of 15-year-old Jewel's sexual appeitite and antics all over US media channels...
Now, one year later, Jewel's mother Beverly McClendon is suing Tyra Banks and Warner Bros Entertainment for $3m, alledging that Jewel was flown to New York without parental consent, after she replied to a casting call behind their backs. The lawsuit filed argues that the show was "undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and paedophiles alike" with the damages being sough broken down as $1m compensatory damages, and $2m punitive damages.
Don't worry Tyra. Just SMIZE your way through it, and you'll still be in the running to pick up a lucrative new chatshow contract later this year.
