Jade Goody died in March 2009. Sad times. Whether you loved Jade Goody or hated her, you have to admit that her death to cervical cancer at the age of 27 was a tragedy. But what a life the Big Brother reality star led...
She certainly had a lot of fans. Many of whom sent in gifts to her during her illness, and many more have continued to arrive at her home since her death. Now, Jackiey Budden - Jade Goody's mum - has admitted to selling the cuddly toys that have been sent in for Jade, taking them to local car boot sales and flogging them as little as 50p a pop.
Jackiey Budden has apparently been donating the cash earned to charity though. "There were thousands of bears and I gave most of them to charity too," she admitted recently, when confronted with the sinister-sounding story, "I thought it was better to sell them for a good cause than throw them in the bin."
Jackiey Budden's spokesman, meanwhile, has insisted that she has not sold on any graveside tributes left for Jade Goody, claiming that, "When she was clearing out the house, Jackiey gave most of them to the local hospital. Others she sold. She says they were not from the grave and she says that she gave the money to charity."
What are your thoughts HeatWorlders? Was she right to have sold them on herself, or should she have done it through a third party, or simply kept them in the garage forever..?
