It’s always entertaining when celebs get a little bit too big for their boots. Latest to fall victim to the do-you-know-who-I-am curse is Josh Duhamel, who had something of a tricky time on a recent flight from New York to Kentucky.
Come on, Josh Duhamel! Starred in Transformers? And that romcom with Katherine Heigl? Married to Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas? You know the one we mean. Wait, hang on, you don’t? It seems like the flight attendant who dealt with him last week also didn’t recognise Josh; well, either that or he did and didn’t care.
The 38-year-old actor was all wrapped up in some obviously crucial texting on his BlackBerry when the flight attendant asked him to switch the device off before take-off, as you do. TMZ reports that, according to another passenger, his response was “very rude” and “taunting”, and when the flight attendant asked him for the third time to turn it off he just laughed. At that point, the plane, which hadn’t taken off yet, left the runway and headed back to the gate, much to the disgust of everyone else on it. Two police officers boarded the plane and escorted Josh back to dry land before he could cause any more trouble.
According to his rep the actor was just sending messages about his flight being delayed, and is sorry for causing trouble. Sounds like a severe case of Hollywood tunnel vision to us. Josh, maybe you should ask your missus to give you a wake up call.
