And by gig we mean the X Factor USA job. Yes. So, a couple of weeks ago we nearly fainted with excitement when it was announced that Cheryl Cole may have landed herself a job as the new judge on the X Factor USA.
It’s just like X Factor over here but with Americans, you get it? Anyway, we digress.
At his birthday party Piers Morgan stomped all over this rumour saying that his sources are telling him she hasn’t been confirmed for the job yet. And when he said 'his sources' we took this to mean Simon Cowell, he didn’t say that though so we can’t either.
He did say however that he thought Cheryl would go down very well in the states if she were to work over there because she’s stylish and nice and stuff.
That wasn’t the only reality TV show goss Piers divulged, speaking about who will take over his role on Britain's Got Talent, he said the only person who could fill his shoes was the Hoff.
To be fair that’s not really gossip but Piers saying he likes David Hasselhoff which is kind of him. Piers was hosting a party in celebration of his new show Piers Morgan tonight which will see him take over legendary American host Larry King.
Among the guests were Naomi Cambell – Pretty, Brucie Forsyth – Not so pretty, Steve Jones – absolutely beautiful and Gordon Brown.
Yes that’s right the ex-Prime Minister turned up and no, we couldn't think of anything good to say to him.
When we throw a party we’re lucky if our best-mate bothers rock up half cut with a bottle of Lambo (that’s Lambrini obviously).
