We’ve heard that Colin Farrell tried out for Boyzone, but what we didn’t know was that he didn’t really want it to be in the band in the first place.
"I swear I never wanted to actually be in Boyzone, I was bored," he added. "I was never good at studying. Just didn't don't how to apply myself. So I went along [to an audition].”
He was bored so he joined a boy-band.
The truth behind it all was revealed in a recent press conference at The Dubai International Film Festival where the crowd hounded Farrell into revealing more of this bizarre story.
“Louis actually saw me in a club in Ireland. I was wearing leather trousers and a rubber t-shirt and he asked me there and then to be in the band.”
They must have been some trousers. Who apart from Colin Farrell and ex-WAGS would wear that to a club?
“After two renditions of Careless Whisper it was all over. I've really never looked back. If I was in Boyzone I couldn't have been an actor. Take your pick."
So if he had picked Boyzone, he wouldn’t have been in Alexander, and we wouldn’t have had to watch it.
Louie Walsh could have saved us all a lot of suffering if he had persuaded Colin to join the band.
