Could this week's installment of Dancing On Ice ever hope to top Emma Bunton's engagement announcement from last Sunday? Possibly. There's always hope, after all, and a twist you can throw into the mix... But, being honest, it was only ever realistically going to top last week if Holly Willoughby went into labour live on air!
Dancing On Ice thinksters did their best though with 'the twist' - a cunningly devised scheme to see the celebrity contestant making the final decision between who stays and who goes in the skate-off, rather than the judges.
Jeff Brazier won out by quite some margin from England cricketer Dominic Cork, who looked more and more forlorn, not to mention lonely, as the celebrities skipped their way across across the ice to give their support to Jade Goody's ex.
Not that Jeff thought he'd be going home this week anyway. He was already halfway there after he misheard Pip Schofield's announcement that Jennifer Metcalfe had been saved, thinking that the public vote had put him through. Ooops!
That wasn't the funniest moment of the Dancing On Ice night though. That honour goes to Vanilla Ice who, immediately after bashing his head on the ice after a fall in training (which, to be fair was really hard - and he did need stitches to a gash just above his eye!), whimpered that "I need to get to hospital immediately in case my brain swells". Genius.
