We may never find out what actually happened or the reasons for Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry’s break-up - but they sure as hell seem to want us to know about their on-going custody battle.
Yesterday, we brought you the news that the normally tight-lipped Halle had planned to start a custody battle, making sure she got full custody of their two year old daughter, Nahla.
In what can only be described as a serious shot at her ex, she released a statement claiming she “[had] serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father” and that she intended to “seek swift judicial intervention”.
Meow.
But today, Gabriel’s rep bit back and released the following statement,
"While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle’s decision to falsely malign him publicly and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute… Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter. The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla."
We’d say that was one-all..
Halle, 44, (who is now dating Kylie’s ex, Olivier Martinez) initially seemed to want the relationship to come to an amicable end. Gabriel even accompanied the actress on work trips to London, looking after their daughter while she filmed the up and coming movie, Dark Tide.
And, only 6 months ago she said, “We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world…And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore.”
But rumours are rife that the custody battle only sparked when a jealous Halle saw pictures of her ex-beau on an alleged date with socialite Kim Kardashian.
