Eastenders actor and one-time king of the I'm A Celebrity jungle Joe Swash might well come across as a loveably cheeky scamp, but when it comes to his family just don't mess, mate... don't mess!
The TV star has reportedly been caught making threats to his younger sister's fella, 23-year-old bookie Joey Jenkins, when his 20-year-old sister Shana (who played Demi, Mickey Miller's sister in Eastenders up until 2006) went missing.
The young couple had argued on the morning of Joey Jenkins' mum's funeral. Joey, claiming that he was angered by the short skirt she was intending to wear to the funeral. "I told her it was totally unacceptable to wear to the funeral," says Joey, "but that was all she'd brought with her. I said she could stay in my house but I had to go and deal with my mum's funeral. I came back after and Shana wasn't here. I assumed she'd gone home."
Shana then went missing until the next day, not letting anyone know that she had gone to stay at a friend's house. In the meantime, realising that she was missing when Joey called to see her, the Swash family began to panic with 29-year-old Joe Swash desperate to find his little sister - and upset that Joey was showing little concern for her after their argument.
Joe Swash then reportedly left the following message for Joey:
"Joe, it's Shana's brother. Why is your f**king phone switched off? You show up at my mum's house and tell her that my sister is missing since yesterday daytime, yeah? In Essex, with no money.
What, it never, ever, ever comes into your head to phone us and tell us yesterday and you walk into my mum's house and say 'where's Shana?', and then you f**ked off and turned your phone off.
Turn your f**king phone back on now Joe. Ok? This isn't one of your f**king games. This is my sister we are talking about.
If anything happens to my sister I promise you, I promise you, without one shadow of a doubt, I will kill you Joe. I will send you to heaven. Ok? I will f**king kill you.
Turn your phone on now you big ****. Phone me. Phone me out of respect, Shana's brother, and let's f**king find her. Pick up your f**king phone and turn it on."
A bit strong there, perhaps, Joe... but what do you think heatworlders? On the one hand is the boyfriend, in grief over his mother's funeral. On the other, is a brother desperately trying to find his little sister. Who was in the right / wrong?
