If you'd ever wondered how long the money from the Cheeky Girls' hit single, 'Cheeky Sing (Touch My Bum)', would last, then you'll be glad to know that the answer is roughly eight years. Gabriela is, of course, the Cheeky Girl who was once engaged to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! wet lettuce Lembit Opik, so she's clearly at least a little bit unhinged. Not that you wouldn't have already guessed that. Let's face it, when the Cheeky Girls first auditioned for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, we hardly thought they were sane then!
She was caught yesterday, trying to walk out of the shop with, ahem, paying and detained by the police. Gabriela Irimia was then taken to the local police station and officially cautioned for shoplifting. A spokesman confirmed that, "A 26-year-old woman from Essex was detained on suspicion of theft of grocery items. The woman was interviewed by police about the circumstances of the incident and subsequently given a caution for theft."
Ouch. We reckon that the Cheeky Girls might be staying indoors for a while now. Oooh, the shame...
