Patsy Palmer to quit EastEnders
Oh dear, more fallout from that EastEnders cot death/baby swap storyline. Pasty Palmer – who of course plays gobby Bianca on the soap – has now had her say on the controversial story, and apparently it’s been particularly upsetting for her daughter. Patsy told Hello, “Emilia adores her new baby brother Bertie and she couldn’t believe something like that could happen. She was sobbing and kept saying ‘Please don’t go back there, mummy.’ I had to calm her down and explain that it wasn’t for real that it was all pretend. But being only nine it was difficult for her to understand . It affected me too, especially after having Bertie, so I can imagine how other mums must have felt.” Whether it’s coincidence or not, Patsy is now set to leave the soap, “I’ve just finished my contract with EastEnders and I’ve decided to I don’t want to be tied to anything. I just want to spend as much time as I can with Bertie and enjoy every minute with him.” Do you think all the controversy is the reason behind Patsy’s departure?
Alex Reid won’t give in to Katie Price’s demands
Alex Reid’s giving Katie Price a hard time – he’s refusing to sign a confidentiality agreement and he won’t move out of her house either. According to various reports Alex is now standing up to wife Katie by refusing to accept the marriage split or cater to Katie’s demands. The pair had a furious bust-up, and just 15 hours after they had agreed on the terms of their split Alex changed his mind. A spy revealed to The Mirror, “The worm has turned and now it’s heading to all-out war between Alex and Katie. After telling Katie on Sunday he accepted the marriage was over, he basically changed his mind. He is angry and refusing to pack his bags. The implication is he could reveal private details and profit from her. Kate is absolutely furious and doesn’t know how this situation is going to get resolved.” Looks like this is one drama that's going to drag on for aaaages, doesn’t it? *sigh*
Nicole Kidman announces birth of new baby girl by surrogate
What is it with celebrities keeping all hush-hush about their baby news? Don’t they know we like to gossip? Anyway, following on from Elton John’s surprising surrogate baby news, Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban have revealed they’ve become parents again, thanks to a surrogate. The baby girl named Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born on 28 December, and both Kidman and Urban are the biological parents of the child. The couple said in a statement, “Our family is truly blessed, and so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret.”
