Meet the next big thing: Heather Russell. She's from Canada, she's 10 years old and according to her fans is like 'Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey rolled into one'. Not literally. That would be a disgusting mess.
Heather was spotted by one Simon Cowell after she posted videos of herself singing self-penned songs on Youtube. He wasted no time in signing her to a contract. "Simon just loved her," said a source at Cowell's record label.
"He said she was amazingly-talented from the first time he saw her."
We've heard Heather's singing. On one hand we admire her tone, vocal presence and professionalism.
On the other hand the sight of confident, talented children brings us out in hives so we had to look away and retch violently after about ten seconds. What do you think?
