The troubled actress is due in court today accused of nabbing a £1500 necklace from a shop in Los Angeles.
The necklace went missing, and police had a warrant to search Lindsay’s home, but before the cops could root through her wardrobes the offending item was turned in.
No harm done, right? Well sadly for Lindsay the law is slightly different when you ‘borrow’ jewellery from shops; it’s not like when you scrounge your sisters lippy for a date.
If Lindsay does get charged she could be in serious trouble, she is till on probation from drink driving so this could land her back in jail. Poor the Lohan.
Lindsay Lohan’s solicitor, Shawn Chapman Holley said “We vehemently deny these allegations, and if charges are filed we will fight them in court.”
If the case does go to court here are some defences Lindsay might want to consider:
* The necklace fell into her pocket while she was saving a kitten.
* She has become a Robin Hood type figure and took it to give to the poor. The poor didn’t want it so she gave it back.
* A big girl did it and then ran away.
* It was research for her role in the new bond film.
* Winona Ryder told her to do it.
