The Academy award winner revealed that he fell 'madly in love' with his wife when he saw her on a TV advert for coffee.
Speaking lovingly of his wife Shakira Baksh, on Good Morning America Michael said: "She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life. I said to my friend, 'we are going to Brazil to find that girl’”
Luckily, before Caine had hopped on a plane to South America, a chum told him the girl was not Brazilian but she was in fact a Kashmiri who was living in London.
"I said 'that's great'," remembered Caine. "I thought I would get some free pullovers.”
It turned out that the couple lived just a few minutes away from each other in London and they soon met and fell in love, and they have been together for 38 years. Amazing.
We first saw Anthony Head in a coffee advert, and decided he was the love of our lives but alas we haven’t bumped into him or had a single free jumper. Life can be so cruel.
