Cristiano Ronaldo has indeed, according to reports, gone down on one knee and asked for his 25-year-old Russian girlfriend's hand in marriage, after jetting off to New York to surprise her on Valentine's Day with a single red rose and a proposal. Talk about whisking a girl off her feet, eh? *sigh*
There has been no comment as yet from the couple, with the Real Madrid star having to leg it back to Spain the very next day to train for his next match. Irina has, however, been spotted out and about with a humungous rock on her finger and a 'family friend' has commented that "We are really happy for them." Jealous? Hell yes!
But still, news of their engagement does give us an excuse to post another of those Cristiano Ronaldo ads from Armani!
