She may have only officially been single for a month but it looks Shakira’s hips have pulled in a man ten years her junior – and a Spanish football player no less. And he’s called Gerard Pique. The pair were spotted holding hands in Barcelona while heading out to a yummy dinner for two in a restaurant in town. In fact, they were spotted by fans, who proceeded to upload the pictures onto the stars’ official Facebook page. Fans are good like that.
Now we’ve thought long and hard about this and we’ve figured out that Shakira must have lured Gerard in with moves like this (see picture to the left) – with thighs like that, how could he resist? Or maybe it was her ‘small and humble breasts’ that can’t be ‘confused with mountains’ that got his attention. Either way, he sounds as though he's smitten.
And of course it couldn’t possibly have happened while Shakira was off recording the Official World Cup anthem, Waka Waka, last summer – even though Gerard does appear in the video. Because she was still technically with her man of 11 years, Antonio de la Rua at the time. And when rumours surfaced that Shaks might just have a new man in her life back in July, she vehemently denied it. Which means it couldn’t have been true. Ahem.
Anyway, at least we know they’re an item. And we’re sure they’re very happy. Now we just need to learn to do that hip/thigh thing and we’re bound to find ourselves a hot footie player and be happy too.
