Well what a night over at Dancing On Ice! All sorts of problems were had by the gorgeous Sam Attwater who only went and dropped his darned hat! On prop week, that is not a good move but Sam explained he hadn’t had much time to practise after a last minute change this afternoon.
As usual resident grouch, Jason Gardiner, just wouldn’t let things lie and reckoned that his excuse was rubbish and Sam had plenty of time. God bless the silver fox Phillip Schofield for politely agreeing with crabby Jase, saying: ‘Hats can cause all sorts of problems, eh Jason?’ with his tongue firmly in his cheek.
However, Jason did manage to squeeze out some positive comments, mainly for Chloe Madeley who managed to actually use a skipping rope on the ice, but also had some positive comments for Johnson Berharry saying he performed with ‘panache’.
Jason also commented that he was impressed with Laura Hamilton’s ‘angra’ – we’re not quite sure what this is and are quite sad no one picked him up on this as he inevitably would have if anyone else had said it.
However, the grumpy judge was not so happy with Jeff Brazier’s wobbly performance (even though we still love him, regardless of whether he threw a chair across the ice or not) frustrated at the lack of ‘cat and mouse’, comparing Jeff and his partner Isabel to ‘toddlers around a table’. Ouch.
Stacey Solomon turned up to support Jeff at The Skate Off which must have been a bad omen, as Jeff ended up in the Skate Off against Sam (shouldn’t have dropped his hat). Jeff was back on form, performing beautifully and wobble-free on the ice, he didn’t even launch his chair this time. But he was no match for Sam, who managed to do more than just hang on to his hat and skated like a professional, making it through to the semi final.
So it was ‘Jeffro’ who got the boot in the end. We can’t help but think tonight’s result was more about personality than ability, or maybe it would have been fairer to see Johnson leave the ice.
