‘Nuff respect to Elton John. Not only can he convince the world he’s still got a full head of hair, about 30 years after we first realised he was going bald, but he’s got a seriously functional Ouija board.
Well, it’s either that or he’s got a pal in Derek Acorah, as he’s claimed that he knows what the late Princess Diana would have thought of Kate Middleton.
The singer is quoted by The Mirror as saying: “I think Diana would be very happy. Kate seems such a great girl and they seem so much in love.”
Considering he’s speaking positively of Wills’ future bride, there’s nothing too creepy about his ‘what-would-Diana-do?’ musings. It’s more like Elton’s a batty old aunt who likes to project their own goodwill on to other people.
You know, the type of batty old aunt who tells you that their dog is ‘fond of you’ in order to justify it humping your leg every time you go round.
He also spoke of how the last time there was a massively publicised event at Westminster Abbey – Diana’s 1997 funeral: “And the next time we’re in the Abbey it’s to see him walk up the aisle with the love of his life. It’s the most joyous result.”
