So many celebs whinge about fame, about how hard their lives are, how difficult it is when people come up to them to tell them they LOVE their work, it’s nice to hear a TV star actually likes their job.
Ian Somerhalder, who plays sexy bad boy vampire Damon in The Vampire Diaries, has a great old time at work, and can’t wait to tell us that. "I get to make out and bite a bunch of girls," he said. Which is true.
But then Ian got all dark on us and said that being a vampire is probably a bit like being a drug addict. "These characters are predators, they are vicious killers at heart," Somerhalder explained. "It's like being a drug addict by virtue of the fact that you're fighting an urge at all times of your life." Indeed. Deep.
Ian recently said that he worked so hard on the series (which will be back on ITV2 soon, exciting) that it’s basically his girlfriend.
Which is funny, as there have been a lot of rumours flying around that he’s actually dating his co-star Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena Gilbert AND her evil doppelganger Katherine.
We’re assuming she just plays Nina on their secret dates though.
