Piers Morgan has gone and done it again: reduced another of his celebrity guests to tears on American TV show Piers Morgan Tonight. And this time it was pretty Eva Longoria.
Eva got a bit emo as she talked to Piers last night about her divorce from basketball husband Tony Parker, and said that playing the whole thing out in the public eye was humiliating but added that she wished him all the best in life.
She said that it was a heartbreaking time and that trying to rediscover who she was afterwards was one of the hardest things she’s ever been faced with. “I had such an identity being Mrs Parker and when that’s taken away from you it’s hard.”
'So many people want me to hate him and destroy him,” she said, “but I don't want to. I want him to be happy. He's not a bad person. I do believe in forgiving and forgetting. There was a reason we were together. I just want to hold on to the good times.”
Although the couple split in November amid allegations that Tony had been unfaithful with one of his team mates wives Erin Barry, Eva didn’t comment on this during her chat with Piers but she did say that she didn’t regret getting married or divorced.
But it’s not all doom and gloom people! Since the split, Eva has seem to have found love with Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo, who – can we say – is a bit easy on the eye. So every cloud and all that.
