We’re sure that millions of people chocked on their lunch today (we certainly did) when actor Rupert Everett confessed to having a rather naughty past whilst being interviewed on Loose Women.
The actor is currently appearing in a play at The Garrick Theatre, a place that he has worked before, only last time he behaved rather badly! “I’m back in the same theatre that I was in back in 1989. I was a very very naughty boy. The weird thing about getting older, especially when you go back to a place is that you can remember so many events where you acted in the most extraordinary way. I walk around the corner and I think, ‘Oh my God, that was where I was doing X, Y or Z. How did I do that?’”
When prompted by the Loose Women to share some details of his saucy tales he revealed, “Once, I was having sex in my dressing room when my call came and they said, ‘Mr Everett to the stage’, and I was completely naked, in the middle of, you know, something or other. I had to get my clothes on. All the people on stage were, like, chatting for four minutes while I ran, picked up my clothes, and got on stage.”
Rupert admitted that he is shocked when he looks back, “It's amazing. I couldn't imagine behaving as badly as I behaved. I can't imagine what I was thinking in doing half the things I did when I was younger.”
Speaking of his beautiful Pygmalion co-star Kara Tointon, he said she is, “absolutely sensational in the play. She’s really amazing. People are going to be really impressed by her.”
Pygmalion is currently in previews at The Garrick Theatre and is due to run through to September… definitely worth a watch!
