Alice Cooper: Who the f**k is Cheryl Cole?

We don’t usually hang out with ageing legendary rock types as a matter of habit, but last night we went to the Kerrang! Awards fuelled by Relentless Energy Drink in east London.

And it was amazing. Jared Leto was there with 30 Seconds To Mars, Matt Cardle was following round Biffy Clyro like a bad smell, and there were lots of rock-looking people who we didn’t recognise but were probably very famous.

But someone we did recognise was Alice Cooper. So we ran after him for a chat. And what better to ask Alice Cooper than his thoughts on Cheryl Cole’s sacking from the US X Factor, obviously. And he told us:

“Who the f**k is Cheryl Cole? No-one in America knows who she is. Or cares!”

Oh Alice. You made us LOL.

    Of course Biffy were nice about Matt, think of the royalties they got from him doing their song haha. Cynical me?

    Biffy were very nice about Matt and so were many other 'rock-looking people' who attended the awards. Maybe if HW weren't so focused on Cheryl Cole they could do a decent write-up of the event.

    I really can't believe they asked Alice Cooper about Cheryl Cole, the man is a rock god and there are tons of interesting questions they could have asked him. They would have been better off not bothering going to the Kerrang Awards at all, as a couple of others have pointed out, rock and heavy metal fans are hardly a major part of their demographic, although given how many commenters are pissed off about HW's inane question maybe that is less the case than one would imagine. And yes, I'm getting fed up of HW's obsession with Cheryl, they actually made me glad she got sacked as I'm so sick of hearing about her, wasting all that time and space on a talentless bint, cue reunion of Girls Aloud as there is not much else left for her now ;o)

    My my arent you cool getting to hang out with the big boys at Kerrang? And sucking up their attitudes too, having a cheap sneer at Matt Cardle in an effort to be...what...tough enough to be ..what exactly? FYI Matt was talking to Biffy, not stalking them or 'hanging around them', and a surprising number of people seemed to love him, yes even at the Kerang awards. If you dont believe me see the tweets from people who were actually there as well- the musos I mean not the fans/hangers on trying desperately to seem cool enough. It amuses me to see a site that hangs off every move the XF makes, then trying to get pseud-brownie points by sneering at the winner. Hypocritical much?

    Harsh, but probably accurate. I wouldn't have put it quite like that, but Cheryl did have her work cut out in the US. It would have been impossible for her to break through at this point. If she was going to, she should have done it earlier.

    That's the point I was trying to make! And actually, they can win, all I personally ask for is less about Cheryl Cole and the X Factor in general, and better spelling/less stupid mistakes! X Factor is just one programme, that's on for 2 hours a week for part of the year - yet it dominates this website. I'm not asking for them to hate Cheryl, I just don't think most of us are as interested in her as they are!

    true dat, but i just think it was stupid to run a story about Alice Cooper that actually had fuck all to do with Alice Cooper. It was just another CC story, of which there are MANY!

    yeh its a bit shit they didnt ask him any other things but its not really heats target market full spread on cooper would go against their demograph.

    they wouldnt have even reported anything in there place tho, thats the thing, they dont give a fuck and dont listen to complaining. and to be fair when it seems like they cant win either way, why should they? I just wish they would sort out their spelling.
