Lee Ryan was left feeling a little Blue when his big birthday bash ended with him in a police cell.
The boyband member and Eurovision contestant ( I Can, they couldn’t) was celebrating his 28th birthday at the Roppongi Club in Oxford. However, the night ended in tears and a punch-up outside the nightclub after an apparent disagreement in the club carried on out into the street, which led the police to detain guests. This must've come as quite a shock to his guests, who included The Only Way Is Essex star Maria Fowler , naturally.
Lee was said to be outside the club at the time of the fight and a source has claimed:
“A 20-year-old man from Northamptonshire was punched a number of times in the face…Minutes later the police arrived in vans and cars and Lee Ryan was arrested and taken off to the cells.”
The source went on to say that the singer wasn’t best pleased, especially seeing as the rest of his party guests were all still inside having a good time, probably being led in the YMCA by Maria.
According to the source the victim didn't need hospital treatment, we’ve tried to get the brawlers identity out of Thames Police but they’re being very discreet, refusing to name the little toe rag, only giving a very vague description of the events:
"28-year-old man from Henley-on-Thames had been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm after an altercation outside the Roppongi nightclub.” Okay Thames Police, you keep those cards close to your chest.
Lee was released on police bail but has to report back next month to see if he’ll be charged.
