It used to be the norm that when you got married you would take your husbands surname, but we live in unconventional times where this doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. Saying that though Abbey Clancy has decided that she will indeed forevermore be known as Mrs Crouch following her marriage to Peter Crouch at the end of last month. Awww…
Following her wedding, the model was welcomed back to her fashion slot on This Morning, by presenters Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes, with Ruth adding, “Should I say Mrs Crouch now? Congratulations!”
Abbey gushed and replied, “Yes, thank you. And I've brought Sophia today, my gorgeous baby...”
Ruth then took the opportunity to ask about her new name, she said, “You looked gorgeous in your wedding pictures and are you going to be Mrs Crouch or are you still staying as Abbey Clancy for work?”
Abbey explained the change of name and her reasons behind it, “No, I think I'd like to have the same name as my baby and we can all be a little Crouchy family! Or big Crouchy's!” How cute.
Mrs Crouch (this sounds ever so grown up) spent the majority of her fashion slot giggling behind her prompt cards whilst buff men, wearing nothing but swimming trunks, jumped into a giant tank of water so that they could ‘test out the trunks’… this sounds like fantastic TV. We’re not quite sure what they were meant to be testing, but we do know that as soon as we leave heatworld tonight that we shall be going straight to ITV player and watching it back!
