Just as we were thinking no-one could top the crazy celeb baby name game this week (the Beckhams currently out in the lead with Harper Seven), Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have announced their newborn son's name.
And, lo, did it come to pass that the offspring sired from the loins of a rom-com actress and raaawk musician shall be: Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy.
What a mouthful. In fact, say it out loud and it's almost like one of those mouth beat-boxers. Still, Matt seemed pretty proud of it as he tweeted: "So happy! Just had a baby boy, Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy. Born 7Ib 12Oz, on 9th July. For those wondering, Bingham is my mum's maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt's dad. Family connections all round!"
Ahhh, it's like a walking (er, crawling) family tree.
It's the couple's first kid together and Matt's obviously super-chuffed with the new addition to the family and with fiancee Kate's efforts in the delivery room. While there was no-actual footage or photos of the birth (phew) he tweeted: "Mum and baby are strong and healthy. Mum was a warrior, Bing popped out after 4.5 hours of intense pushing!"
Thanks Matt, that's a great mental image to keep us going...
