Uh-oh! Is Friends star Courteney Cox doing a Gwyneth Paltrow and sharing her life/style advice whether we want to hear it or not? Thankfully, not quite.
While Courteney has just started writing her own beauty and home-decorating blog, it’s actually all part of another website, and not a GOOP-style exercise in self-indulgence. Better than that, Courteney’s hints and tips are actually practical and affordable. Her first article, which was published today on xojane.com, is entitled, “The $9 drugstore beauty item I buy every 28 Days.” See? Affordable. We’re actually impressed that Courteney goes on to reveal that she’s uses a Clairol home colouring kit once a month. We just assumed that all celebrities have their hair coloured at super-expensive salons. Why, it’s almost like she’s a normal person. Gasp!
Courteney also recommends a make-up brand, and is described by the site’s editor as the go-to girl for make-up and home advice. “Ever since I met Courteney, at an Italian restaurant in Laurel Canyon 15 years ago, and she filled in my eyebrows at the dinner table with a No. 2 charcoal art pencil from her bag (which works brilliantly for any colouring, by the way), I've been getting all my best home and beauty tips from this girl. Now she's going to be giving them to you.”
