A drug fixer has claimed that he smoked heroin with Amy Winehouse the night before she died. Tony Azzopardi also has alleged that he helped Amy buy drugs for herself at the same time.
The man says he was introduced to the tragic singer via her ex husband Blake Fielder-Civil and has spoken out now as he wants her family to 'know the truth about what happened'.
He believes Amy bought £1,200 worth of crack and herion from a dealer that he knew after the pair bumped into eachother at a pub in Camden.
However, we think his claims sounds downright dodgy. Police have insisted nothing drug related was found at the house after Amy passed away and her family are certain the story does not match up with what they believe to have happened.
Amy’s dad Mitch stands by his belief that Amy had given up drugs and alcohol and her death was result of a seizure related to alcohol withdrawal.
The cause of death will become clear in a few weeks when the toxicology results are expected.
Lady Gaga: Amy didn’t need to learn anything
Meanwhile, celebrities are continiuing to mourn the loss of Amy Winehouse and today Lady Gaga admitted she couldn’t speak for 48 hours after hearing the news, despite never having actually met the singer.
Speaking on US show, The View, Gaga said:
‘I am just so devastated and so sad and I really could not speak for 48 hours straight I was in such shock.’
She also said Amy was not the one who needed to learn any lessons, rather us lot, the media!
‘I think the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way that the media spins things, like we can learn from Amy's death. I don't feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar.’
While Gaga never actually met Amy, she insists ‘everything that I knew about her was that she was the most lovely and nice and kind woman.’
