JLS are famous for having some of the best voices in pop, right? Rightly so, we have heard them with our own ears, and they are seriously amazing.
Nonetheless, the lads have admitted they do use auto tuning equipment and other effects to enhance their recorded vocals. However, the boys reckon there is nothing wrong with this, as long as they can belt it out live:
Aston told Bang Showbiz: "If you get critics, come and see the show.” Er, we would have at T4 if you hadn’t pulled out last minute… “We can sing it live, so what's the problem? It's kind of pointless for them to criticise."
Oritsé then piped up saying that their sound is of a "new school generation" of pop.
"Music has moved forward in such an amazing way, and we are in a new school generation and [for] that generation, stuff like music effects, auto tune and sampling is part of that." He said.
JLS give the people what they want!
Ok, so we will accept a nice bit of effects and sampling, but surely the boys’ voices don’t even need any tuning in the first place? However, Marvin reckons the people want auto-tune, so that’s what JLS are going to give them:
"It's all about people wanting that in the music, so we will deliver it to them."
Well, what we want is for them to take their shirts off more often, so if it’s what the people want then the question to JLS is: CAN YOU DELIVER THAT?!
