OK, so you know how Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy for stealing her "look"? Well, she is. The Keeping Up The Kardashians star has taken the clothing company to court because she thinks they've been trying to make money out of her "look" by hiring a Kim lookalike.
Kim's legal action
Although the lawsuit doesn't actually mention lookalike Melissa Molinaro (we're assuming the spelling's difficult), she's still launched a bit of a tirade against Kim. Molinaro tweeted, "We're still talking about this?! It's JULY this aired in February…some people have too much time on there [sic] hands"
Moaning on the social networking site, Melissa added, "I'm blown away by all your support
and blessed to have an amazing family & friends like you!
Kim's not responded on Twitter, presumably because she was too busy doing what she does – which, in this case, was having a bridal weekend. A bridal weekend is basically that bit in the film Bridesmaids without the nervo freakout and with a lot more celebrity pals.
The event's guestlist included Demi Lovato, Serena Williams and Mel B, who were treated to Kim partying with lots of scantily clad dancers and strutting about with a whip. Kelly Osbourne was due to attend, but had to drop out following news of Amy Winehouse's death.
Perhaps Kim is saving her Twitter response for court. The lessons learned here? Not to confuse Melissa Molinaro with Kim Kardashian. FYI, it's also best not to confuse Melissa Molinaro with Vanessa Minnillo, Manolo Blahnik, marinara meatball sauce or the late, great '80s German pop duo, Milli Vanilli.
