There were one of the most genetically blessed couples in Hollywood, but Ryan Reynold and Scarlett Johansson are officially over. This makes us sad.
Scar-Jo, 26, and Ryan, 34, announced their separation back in December 2010 after just two years of marriage, with both filing for divorce a month later. Divorce proceedings have now been finalised after papers were filed in Los Angeles on Friday by Ryan’s attorney.
According to court papers there was no prenuptial agreement, which means any assets acquired during the marriage will be split equally, and neither actor has sought spousal support, so it sounds like it’s all ended amicably enough.
Green Lantern actor Ryan has recently admitted that he’s found divorce painful, opening up to Details magazine he said, “Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain. But you come out of it. I'm not out of it yet. At all.I have no interest in dating right now. It just seems so kind of alien to me at this point. I don't think I want to get married again, but you always re-evaluate these things."
Aww, this makes us want to hug Ryan more than ever. Scarlett has of course been dating Sean Penn, but split with the 50-year-old actor at the beginning of June after a three-month romance.
