It was only a matter of time before Sinitta weighed in on the whole "Cheryl Cole US X Factor" debacle – after all, she is Simon Cowell's bestest most important friend in the whole wide world. Ahem. The singer and sometime wearer of leaf-bikinis says she was actually surprised that Chezza was offered the role in the first place.
"I didn't voice my opinion so much," she told The Mirror, "Because I knew people would just think I was being jealous. But it's usually hard to take a lead from an English show to America and vice versa. They're not known enough over there."
Wow. It's almost rocket science, isn't it? Sinitta then went on to reassure Cheryl that she shouldn't give up on cracking the US just yet, saying, "She just needs to approach it a different way. At least the US knows exactly who she is now."
Hmmm, is it just us, or is there a teensy bit of an edge to these quotes? After all, Cheryl did take Sinitta's place as flavour of the month beside Simon Cowell for quite some time. We wouldn't be surprised if she did a few cartwheels (hopefully not in that leaf bikini) when Chezza got the shove.
