heatworld just got off the phone from America. We were having a bit of a chat with a hot new boy band! Not a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon, we suppose. Their name is Big Time Rush and they are coming over to England next week to launch their brand new album.
We think you might like them, they have a TV show over in the US on Nicklodeon and are absolutely huge over there. We checked, and they admitted they get lots of screaming girls and sent totally weird stuff all the time (“Someone sent us a corn dog… a hotdog on a stick”).
They have worked with Snoop Dogg, hung out with Pixie Lott and are even on the same record label as Calvin Harris! So, to give you the heads up, we spoke to Carlos from the band about everything, from being all American, to what he thinks of the UK and our mutual love of Kenan and Kel.
Like all Americans, they LOVE the UK, well, one thing in particular: “I love the UK, we are big fans of English girls. Any English girls really, those accents get me. I don’t have a girlfriend and am definitely looking for English girls.” Er, we are English girls, did we mention that?

But they do have one English girl who is their fave: “We met up with Pixie Lott but I would rather date Cheryl Cole. I would have appreciated it if US X Factor had kept her! Pixie is nice but Cheryl is like ‘Hey come ride on my motorcycle, come for a ride!’” Basically, this poor young American chap is all confused and under the impression Cheryl is Taylor Momsen…
Big Time Rush love JLS and Kenan and Kel
Carlos also admitted the band love British music: “We dig JLS and The Wanted, they are awesome. Take That are great. I also like Calvin Harris. I try to listen to British stuff, I like it a lot.” So we knew he was a man of good taste so weren’t surprised when this extended to his TV picks: “I love Kenan and Kel, it’s my all-time favourite Nick show ever. I love Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains It All, they are the best.” Wow, remember all those lot? Amazing!
