It’s always nice to hear a man being lovely about his wife, especially when it’s rap superstar Jay-Z and he’s being all darling about his wifey, Beyonce. His most recent comments might not make everyone feel all warm and mushy inside, Michael Jackson fans in particular.
Jay-Z was chatting on US radio station 99 Jamz when he compared bootylicious Beyonce to the late Bad singer.
"What I've learnt from her is similar to what I learnt from [Michael Jackson] - and I know that's blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator, but I think she's like the second coming."
WOW. If our boyfriend even notices our new haircut, we get teary. Being compared to an icon would probably bring us to our knees. The rap mogul didn’t stop with the legend-comparison, oh no. He had a lot more to say on how utterly amazing he thinks the singer is.
"The hard work and dedication that she puts into her shows, it just makes you want to work harder at your own craft. She's like a machine."
The 41-year-old businessman married Beyonce in April 2008 in a private ceremony at Jay-Z’s swish New York apartment. Coldplay’s Chris Martin and wife Gwyneth were present at the ceremony and have since remained close friends with the couple.
Rumours recently surfaced that the couple’s marriage had hit the rocks were scuppered when, during a London gig, Beyonce shouted out to her hubby, “Make love to me!”
Gushing compliments and raunchy requests? Not the words of a couple at war.
