Congratulations to reality star Kim Kardashian and her basketball beau Kris Humphries, they were married at 6:30pm last night in a private estate in California and are now officially husband and wife! Squee!
Kim and Kris are considered celeb royalty over in the states, and so the US had their very own royal wedding as fans of the couple came out in droves to wish them well on their big day.
Obviously the whole event was kept under wraps, but we have gathered some information for you lovely Heatworld citizens. The glamorous couple tied the knot in front of 440 family members and close friends, in a wedding that reportedly cost almost $10 million. Yikes. $15000 of that sum went on a 10-tiered wedding cake with chocolate chip icing, Mmm.
Kim’s dress has invited much speculation, but we can tell you she wore a strapless ivory custom-designed dress with a tulle skirt, basque waist and chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice, all designed by Vera Wang. She also wore a diamond, jewelled headpiece and a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti shoes. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos, with white shirts and silk ties. The bridesmaids also wore ivory but changed into ivory tracksuits for the reception, which is why we love the Kardashians!
The event was celeb-filled, with Vera Wang, Eva Longoria, Demi Levato, Brody Jenner, Avril Lavigne and Ryan Seacrest in attendance. Also joining the couple for their big day were Mario Lopez and Lindsay Lohan. We can picture it now, Mario taking advantage of the free bar and yakking on to a very bored looking Lilo about his glory days in Saved By The Bell.
