We feel like giving David Walliams a big hug this morning. The Little Britain star has admitted he suffers from feeling of self-loathing and is searching for fulfilment.
David – who is about swim the length of the Thames in his latest Sport Relief challenge – was asked by ES magazine what a psychologist might make of his epic sporting endavours, and Dave replied, “He'd probably say it was a cry for help. I suppose I am thinking to myself, 'What is going to bring me fulfilment in life?' And it's true I go through periods of intense self-loathing. I think that is only human, isn't it?"
Comedian David also revealed that he steers clear of alcohol because he’s a sad drunk, saying, “I've actually only been drunk a few times in my life, probably twice in the last decade. I do like the taste of alcohol occasionally, but if I have too much I'll get all maudlin, start crying and put my head on your shoulder."
With his fortunately teetotal 27-year-old supermodel wife Lara Stone to snuggle up to now, we hope David’s a little less “maudlin”.
