In this week’s heat James Corden has been transformed into singing sensation and all round cool chick Adele. And being the down-to-earth type she is, Adele loved James’ transformation,
“I sent Adele the pictures from this shoot. She cracked up. She thought they were great. To become her, if only for a moment, was an honour.”
Continues James, “I love Adele so much. I find what she’s achieved and keeps achieving an inspiration to any young singer-songwriter out there. I met her on her first-ever TV performance on T4. You could just tell then how huge she was going to be. She’s exceptional. It makes me excited about presenting the BRITs next year, knowing that the biggest-selling female artist in the world is going to be there. And she’s part of our little island. She’s just taken over the world.”
Crushing on Lily Allen
James also spoke to heat about his not-quite romance with Lily Allen, admitting that he doesn’t feel guilty for including her in the book, and acknowledging that he messed things up with the singer by being too cocky,
“I didn’t feel bad for writing about her. Because, literally, all I was writing was that nothing happened.”
“I’ve no idea what I was thinking! She might have fancied me at first, but I f**ked that up. I was so overconfident on the show that when I was alone with her I didn’t know what to say or do. I just turned into a mumbling idiot.”
“I think the more time she spent with me, the less she fancied me! I fancied her so much that I turned into this kid who went, ‘Yeah, sure, whatever you want, Lily.’”
Gary Barlow bromance
Everyone is talking about The X Factor, and James is no exception. The Gavin & Stacey star is particularly a fan of Gary Barlow (hey, who isn’t?), particularly how Gaz poses behind the judges’ table,
“I texted him to say good luck on The X Factor, I think. Not that he needed it. The Barlow literally owns that show. He is hot. I love the way he’s even perfected his sitting position. [Sits back in his chair majestically, puts his left arm on the table and tilts his body to the side.] He’s got this side pose that just exudes power! Just the way he’s sitting lets you know he’s the head judge. I’m loving the show. The new panel are brilliant.”
The new issue of heat magazine is on sale now.
