Rihanna has had a super-busy week parading around fields in very little clothing, filming her new We Found Love video and getting told off by farmers. But last night, things got a little lairy for the sexy Bajan-born star, when crowds of fans booed her for being 90 minutes late on stage, for the opening show of her Loud tour in Belfast.
Support act Calvin Harris was left to fill the time in between their sets at the Odyssey Arena, while 7,000 fans looked on gloomily waiting for their idol’s late arrival. And when she finally hit the stage, there was some serious booing.
Addressing the problem, Rhi-Rhi later tweeted, “BELFAST sorry for being so late 2nt!BIG SHOW!FIRST NIGHT!Things dont always run smoothly or as planned,but I dearly appreciate ur patience”.
Yet the singer offered no explanation as to why she was so late, even though she's known for consistently speaking out over the social networking website. She even even tweeted a denial that she’s been drunk while performing recently. The 28-date tour is set to continue all over the country, making stops in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow.
But it’s not all bad news. Rihanna has been making the most of her stay in sunny Northern Ireland – and in fact, she’s been really getting to know the locals and has taken the time to become very familiar with her surroundings. Sources claim that Rih’ has been hanging out in chip shops, flirting with model Dudley O’Shaughnessy and requesting bikini waxes at 2am. We can only deduce that the latter was down to a very urgent bootie call that night…
