The winner of the X Factor this year is going to be extra lucky, not only will they win the biggest show on the telly; their debut single is going to be written by Gary Barlow!
The Take That star will write the song for the winner as well as some tracks for runners-up.
A source told The Sun: "The move will be a huge boost to the show's credibility as it means the X Factor single won't be just another cover.”
"It's a licence to print money for Gary. It's not like there is one winner. Whoever comes second usually has a good career like Olly Murs and JLS ... he could end up writing for all of them."
It sounds like Gary is going to have a very lucrative Christmas this year; we wonder how we can get on his gift list.
UPDATE: Gary's "people" have been in touch, and they tell us, "It has been talked about but it is way too early to tell what's going to happen with Gary and him writing any of the finalists' songs, including the winner."
