It must be horrid to find out your bloke has been doing the dirty, but it’s a bit too clichéd to have been having it away with his kids nanny.

What’s even more shocking is that Sienna stuck with him for four months after it came out in the papers, and then went back a second time last year.

She was the coolest WAG on the block, and when it emerged that Ashley had been doing the dirty, there was nowhere for Chezza to hide as she was subjected to a series of kiss and tells in the tabloids.

In her first public performance after they split, she got a standing ovation at the 2010 BRIT awards as she performed Fight For This Love and the crowd chanted ‘Dump him! Dump him!’

Oh cruel world, why did you do this to us? They were our favourite couple, ev-ah.

We’re pretty sure Jen wouldn’t have been too pleased when rumours started surfacing that Angelina Jolie had taken a shine to her Mr & Mrs Smith co-star, Brad. And the rest, as they say, is history…

Then days later, David rang up US radio host Howard Stein and announced that he’d slept with a cocktail waitress but was still hoping to patch up his marriage, and when asked about Courteney, said ‘we have not had sex for about four months or so…she doesn’t feel like bonding in that way’.

Oh dear.

When childhood sweethearts Justin and Brit split, there were whispers that she’d been misbehaving. But surely not, she’s Britney! She’s saving herself for marriage!

We were pretty sure it was just those nasty newspapers making up stories.

Then Justin released his debut solo single, Cry Me A River featuring a very slinky Britney lookalike in the video, as he sang

‘You don’t have to say what you did/I already know, I found out from him/ Now there’s just no chance, for you and me, there’ll never be/ And don’t it make you sad about it.’

Uh-oh.

Former wild-child Kelly had calmed down a since meeting and getting engaged to model Luke.

But after two years together, they split amid rumours that he’d cheated. Kelly kept a very dignified silence, tweeting ‘Thank you all so much for your support but the matter is private and will not be commenting enough damage has already been done.’

But fast forward a few months, and she tweeted ‘All girls, beware of @Luke_worral he is a using ****! He used me for my money and a free ride. He is lucky I am not spilling the whole truth about what he did!’

‘Where is he?’ Most of us have wailed that at some point, usually whilst we’re surrounded by girl mates and clutching a bottle of wine.

But one look at these bad celebrity break-ups, and we remember that at least we don’t have our relationships laid bare for everyone to know about.
