There are many words men around the world could think of to describe filming a sexy love scene with Jennifer Garner. Humiliating, isn’t one of them.Wonder what hubby Ben would say...
Hugh Jackman wasn't talking about real life love-making, obvs. Buff Hugh, has said that he felt “humiliated” when he and Jennifer had to film a love scene in their upcoming new flick, Butter.
To be fair, the reasons he has for being made to feel embarrassed are pretty damn good. And funny.
According to Hugh, he and Jennifer basically had to get in the back seat of a car and make sexy noises to be recorded by the sound guy. Why? Because the sex scene isn’t actually seen. It’s one of those atmospheric, slightly cringey scenes. You know the kind. The ones that made you want to disappear into your sofa if you had the misfortune of having to watch it with your parents. Ghastly.
As if having to pant and moan wasn’t enough, the pair had to do it separately because the sound man couldn’t record them both at the same time.
Confused? We’ll let Hugh explain…
“There was one scene where we make out in a car, but it’s never seen, you can only hear it. So I’ll never forget this — the sound guy, the director, me and Jen Garner got in a car to make making love sounds. It’s kind of humiliating as we discovered he couldn’t record us both at the same time, so one had to perform, then the other had performed and I’m really glad she went first because I never would’ve gone as far as she did unless she had gone first. I don’t think I’ve ever been more embarrassed in my life.”
Perform?! GROSS.
Despite the cringe-worthy embarrassment, Hugh had a blast filming the movie.
In an interview with PopSugar, Hugh said, “I had so much fun on that movie and I was so glad that she asked me to do it — she [Jen] produced that movie as well. I just loved it. It was a blast and the cast was fantastic. It was like one week of work for me and I had so much fun.”
