We couldn’t be more excited for Girls Aloud to reform. The girls have spoken about getting back together to celebrate 10 years of girl pop awesomeness, however no real date was ever set in stone. We heard a lot of ‘in the near future’ and ‘hopefully soon’, this is not verbatim people!
This is why we’re lucky to have the very lovely Kimberley Walsh to reveal that the reunion could very well be happening next year. Eeek! Kimberley has been playing Princess Fiona in the stage version of Shrek, which we find strange, as she is in no way ogre-ish. The singer dished all the dirt to Alan Titchmarsh on The Alan Tichmarsh Show last night, saying,
'We are definitely talking about plans for next year because it's our 10-year anniversary so we don't know exactly what it's going to be… I can't give too much information but we'll definitely be doing something together again which will be lovely.'
Kimberley appeared on the show alongside her very sexy Shrek co-star Nigel Harman and the pair seemed very close indeed! Nigel joked that he would be joining the girls on stage for their tour, and Kimberley laughed, placing her hand on his lap! Cheeky! To be honest, given the chance we would’ve done the same.
We can’t help but wonder whether Kimberley might be being a bit premature with her plans, as Sarah Harding’s recent admittance to rehab might throw a spanner in the works. We think the girls need to rally around Sarah, show her a bit of sisterly love (words of advice, ice-cream etc.) and burst back into our lives with some dancey, sugary pop goodness! Here's a little something to keep you going in the mean time.
