Cheryl Cole is the undisputed Queen of Looking Ace, right? Well, not according to Mary Portas. Yes, The Queen of Frocks, shops and anything else she care to lay her fashiony fingers on is not impressed with Miss Cole’s style, or as she would see it, lack of style.
Talking about that horrendous LA style blip that poor Chezza experienced when she stepped out in those massive purple flares, Mary said:
"That was really wrong, wasn't it?" Portas said. "There was that massive hair and then the tiny body. It was really just a wrong move."
On this occasion we will have to agree, Mary is an expert after all but everyone is allowed an off day!
She also laid her presumably bang on trend painted talons into Katie Price her recent venture into the world of fashion design. Her particular point of focus being on Katie’s velour tracksuits:
"Now, why did I think it would be any different? Well, that's called brand extension, darling. What else would you expect?"
But Mary is not bothered by her own critics, in particular a certain Carol Vorderman who recently expressed her er, disappointment with Mary’s collection:
"Carol Vorderman slagged off my collection. Tick. Big tick, baby. I would have worried if it had been anyone else." Ouch!
