We love karaoke and we really love Robert Pattinson – in fact we’ve even daydreamed about meeting the Twilight hunk at our local karaoke bar and drunkenly belting out a rendition of Elton John and Kiki Dee’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart with Rob.
So imagine our delight when we heard that Rob is also partial to a bit of karaoke singing fun! We already knew that Rob is a not-so-secret singer/songwriter, but we always assumed he’d be way too cool for karaoke, but he’s not. Yay!
Real Steel star Hugh Jackman has reveled to MTV News that he once went out singing with Rob and director Baz Luhurmann (wow – what a party!), “We [he and director Baz Luhrmann] invited Rob, and he came. And it was so much fun. Man, he’s got a voice. Really soulful."
Rob didn’t quite manage to let his hair down as much as the rest of his karaoke crew, refusing to dress up for singing, “The first thing you do is you get inside this room, the doors are closed, and there’s, like, eight of you, it feels a little weird. And then all of a sudden, they open, and they bring in these boxes, which are basically [full of] dress-up [clothes], and it’s all girls’ clothes. I was a schoolgirl, Baz got dressed up, and Rob did not. He was too cool for school.”
