Sex And The City actress Kristin Davis is a new mum – she has adopted a baby girl named Gemma Rose Davis. A big congratulations to Kristin.
The 46-year-old actress actually took her new daughter home a few weeks ago, but has only just gone public with the news. “This is something I have wanted for a very long time," Kristin has told People. "Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever had imagined. I feel so blessed.”
Of course, Kristin’s character in Sex And The City also adopted a daughter, so it’s a case of life imitating art for the actress.
Going it alone
Kristin, who is happily unmarried has adopted as a single parent, has previously spoken about parenthood, telling Access Hollywood in May 2010, “You obviously have to think it through. Best-case scenario, you're obviously raising it with a father. It does give me pause to think about doing it alone. I feel like it's a really hard job.”
We think the SATC girls would be proud of Kristin going it alone.
