They’ve only just reunited after ten years apart but Steps have already managed to bag a number one album with their Greatest Hits and have been forced to add more dates to their huge arena tour due to high demand – however it seems the group are already thinking about their solo slots.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Lisa Scott-Lee confessed that she’s keen to sing her solo single ‘Lately’, which got to number six in the charts back in 2003. She said, “I think we've had great experiences over the last few years. On our previous tours we used to do solo spots, and I'd love to do 'Lately' again.
“It's a song that I wrote myself and was really proud of. I had a big hit with it, so I could definitely see myself doing that again.”
Fellow band-member Lee Latchford-Evans is less confident of the music he went on to create, saying, "I'm not sure any of my solo stuff would be right for the Steps tour. My world was very different; Lisa stayed with the dance, and I was performing at rock festivals to people who were thinking, 'What the hell are you doing here?'.
“We're never going to get the success individually that Steps had, but I'm pleased we had the strength to get out there and have a stab at it.”
So are we… although now you’re back together please stay that way!
