X Factor contestants told, “you’re ruining the show”

Everyone has an opinion about this year’s slightly lackluster X Factor. The show is losing ratings and TV fans don’t seem too happy with the show. X Factor bosses have reportedly taken note of the criticism and told all the contestants to "buck up their ideas".

Show bosses have reportedly held a crisis meeting with the remaining acts, telling them all “you’re ruining the show.” A source says in The Mirror, that the acts were told, “’If you want to be a star, you’ve got to start acting like one’. The lack of effort from some contestants has been disgraceful.

“The acts were told in no uncertain terms what was expected of them. The producers are worried about the criticism the show has faced this series, and they worry the acts this year are not keeping the audience entertained.

“Viewers can’t even remember the names of several acts, and too many of them seem disinterested. They arrive at the studios for rehearsals half asleep, looking bored and still wearing their slippers. Bosses have told them to buck their ideas up and start behaving like future pop stars, before the public ignore them completely.”

I'm totally bored by the X Factor at the moment, mostly because it is too long! We were playing a drinking game on the 1st live show and there were so many ad breaks that we just lost interest. When they got rid of 4 people, I thought well at least it won't be 2 and a half hours long next week... but it still was! With 4 less acts!!! Also the majority of the acts are lacklustre at best. Frankie can't even sing ffs!

Call me old-fashioned, but I feel sure Alex would not have confided his engagement plans to HW.

Run out of steam like Strictly has. Time to pension off both shows and think of something else. They're just same old same old now.

I wouldn't say that the acts aren't working hard, think about it, in the space of a week they've got to learn their own song, the group song and another song in case they find themselves in the bottom two. They may also have a bit of choreography to learn too. That's a lot in a week. You know what the problem is? (Apart from too many adverts) there's no Simon Cowell. The charisma and energy and his own type of charm and just basically the Simon Cowell Factor is what kept a lot of people viewing, I reckon. I totally don't get the whole Gary Barlow thing, I find him incredibly bland. If Simon were there, the banter and chemistry he'd have with Kelly would be quite something. it's still early days, some of the acts might still surprise us yet, but we musn't forget the performances we've already seen like Misha's 'Rolling in the Deep.'

Wouldn't be as bored if Jade was still in...never remember that Sophie girl. They keep talking about how "great" she is. But she is SO dull! No-one even remembers that she's there. WE NEED JADE BACK

The drop in ratings is because people know the show is massive con and they are sick of being treated like idiots. It is not the contestants fault, it is Simon. He got rid of Dannii and messed things up with Cheryl, then proceeded to run things like the wizard behind the curtain.

Im bored of the ads, bored of the clearly manafactured stories in the media and bored of the sheer predictability of it all eg. Oh goldies left? Well lets make Johnny the comedy act this year. Yawn. Poor johnny.
