How many of you hit a spooky Halloween bash at the weekend? We did. We saw witches, ghouls and even a couple of undead cheerleaders. No police though. Maybe our party was a little too tame for the police? One person who’s party wasn’t police-proof was Hollywood star Drew Barrymore.
Naughty Drew received a visit from the boys in blue when her neighbours made complaints about the noise levels. Drew threw the bash in her fancy Hollywood Hills pad over the weekend and folks living nearby enjoying a non-Halloween evening thought her monster mash of tunes were playing just a tad too high and dobbed her in. Meanies.
According toTMZ the actress had a word with the cops maybe fluttered an eyelash or two and then all was well. She kept the noise down like the good merrymaking neighbor she is.
This is not the first time Barrymore has worked her charm with a police officer. Back in 2009, the star was involved in a dangerous car chase when a bunch of over eager men took after her in New York. The star was rescued by an officer and later gave the hunky hero a mention when she appeared on Late Night with David Letterman saying, "I love New York and I have to give a shout out to a certain officer Bentley. I was being chased by these horrible men the other night and I pulled over and I rolled my window down and I said, 'Sir, will you please help me? These mean, awful, scary men are chasing me!' And he goes, 'I love you Drew Barrymore, I'll rescue you!' And I was like, 'Oh my god, and you're cute to boot?' And he did (rescue me)."
Cute and brave? You have all the luck, Drew.
We wonder whether the officers from the other night will be getting a special shout out any time soon…
